Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American author, syndicated writer of columns and businesswoman. She has written fifteen books, and she is co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer, philanthropist, television personality as well as the proprietor of the independently open online newsmagazine The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and moved to England at age sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. She was the first student from outside the UK to become the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. The success of her conservative columnist was consolidated after she completed her studies. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice portal that offered critiques of the politics. Arianna was able to attract many prominent contributors to share their views on culture and politics. Arianna gained fame in 2003 when she decided to stand independently during the California recall vote to succeed the Governor Davis. Alongside that, she also spearheaded a Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient cars. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the top female media personality, taking the 12th place on the listing and the following year, the Guardian listed her on the top 100 of media lists. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and she was made president of the media company. The acquisition included a number of AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Her parents were journalist and management consultant Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. While she was very close to her father, it was her relationship with her mother that formed her entire life. From her early years, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. At the age of 16, she moved to Britain to study and enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the debating Society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was awarded. She was a journalist, a TV host and columnist upon her graduation. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also notable. She began to write books with his guidance in editing.
