Anya Taylor Joy is a sixteen year old American who was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former Banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. She is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's ex-married partners. Buenos Aires was her home until she turned six, and the family relocated into Victoria at the time of London. According to Taylor-Joy, this removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to learn English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. She had to switch schools to Northlands and then Hill House. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16 she left school to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy's ambition to become an actor began at a young, age. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first person who hired her as an experienced model.
