Maria Brink
Maria Brink (born December 18, 1977) is an American musician and singer, best known as the frontwoman of the band In This Moment. The group has gone on to release seven studio albums and garner four nominations, including two from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been recognized as "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in the year 2010. She was named one of the 11 females from heavy metal who count by Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 most hot girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. In 2002, at the age of 25 years old, she relocated to Los Angeles to find a band . Before making a decision to join a band, she worked in shops, and performed in coffee shops and bars. In 2004, she met band member Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth rebuked Brink because she was a woman. A few weeks later, Howorth apologized and hired Brink as the lead singer. They came together as Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined the band as guitarists. After a while, the group changed their name to In This Moment
